And yes, that is why they are so cool. When someone buys a new camaro and puts flowmasters on it to make it sound cool, I'm not impressed. When someone cruises by in a 72 Cutlass Supreme with that hollow sound you can only get with a set of super turbo mufflers and a hot cam, it's rather impressive...mmmmm...old cars...
I think the ones I like most are the sleepers, the ones that look and sound like luxury cars and will blow the doors off most anything.
