It is my pleasure to announce the newest featured journal in our Completed Journal forum – a spectacular “restomod” project submitted by WICruser.

This frame off "restomod" project, completed almost entirely by WiCruiser, with some expert painting help from his son, features a 1950 Chevy 3600 powered by a 383 SBC coupled to a NV3500 transmission, 14 bolt rear axle w/ 4.10 ratio and a new custom drive shaft. To safely stop the truck with increased boost in power, he has added modern front disc brakes. The existing body has undergone massive metal replacement and a complete paint job tops off this impressive build.

WICruser’s journey began in December 2021 and has now spanned more than four years of dedication, problem‑solving, and craftsmanship. The journal provides a step‑by‑step account of the challenges faced, the solutions devised, and the final results that truly honor the spirit of a classic Chevy truck, while delivering modern performance and highway speeds.
