JW51, your story about the 12 ft door casing reminded me of back in the day when I was working with my dad. He had a '51 GMC 1 ton that had a pipe rack bolted to the right front fender and a chain vise on the right rear of the bed. When we hauled 20' sticks of pipe to a job, they got loaded on the rack that of course blocked the passenger door. I had to crawl in the driver's side, over the pile of stuff in the center of the seat to the right side (my first task every spring when school let out in the spring was to clean the stuff that had migrated to the right side of the seat so I had a place to sit.) Then the reverse when we got to the jobsite to unload.
