I never know whether stuff like this goes in the Driving Report or the Truck as a Truck thread. They're usually about the same thing with me.

Yesterday I had to drive out to the North Georgia hinterlands and help my mom uncover her swimming pool for the summer and pressure wash the concrete pool deck. As long as I'm driving out there, I figured I might as well haul a load of firewood for next winter. I have an unlimited supply and no fireplace.

I also had to fix a couple tires on her tractor that keep going flat.

Anyway, there happened to be a cruise-in sort of close-by that a couple of friends from my Cadillac club were going to. After I was finished doing chores at my mom's house, I headed up to the Riverstone Cruise. As luck would have it, a friend of one of the Cad guys drove his 54/55 Chevy 3100.

I hung out there till late evening, had dinner at a nice Italian place with my friend, Doug, then headed back home. That's Doug's '66 Eldorado in front of me.

By the time I got back to the A-T-L it was getting dark. All totaled, it was about 130 miles round trip.

Thanks to Bartamos' help a couple years ago, I can drive with confidence at night. The 6v headlights are as bright as any modern car.
