I bet the load helps it steer easier also, even standing still. I added ps to my ‘57 3200 because it was crazy to crank out of a parking stall. I loaded mine with a variety of tools to help my son and his contractor. Drove about 110 miles each way. I thought the steering was getting a little sloppy, similar to before a few tweaks, then I realized the nuts fell off stud end of steering stabilizer shock I personally installed about 8 years ago.
