Couldn’t find the driving report thread. This one works, anyway.
Last Sunday, had a project that required a trip to the farm store (which also has a lumberyard). Such a nice day that I decided to take JW.
Ended up selecting a 12 ft piece of door casing and some screws and took it to check out. The lumberyard has a saw and I figured they could make a 4 ft piece and an 8 ft piece. I was informed by more than one teenage employee that they are only “allowed” to cut things in half. Since I needed to cut a whole bunch of 16 inch pieces, that wasn’t going to work.
I was left no choice but to tie it down with twine and a big floppy 6 ft section hanging over the tailgate. Luckily it’s like - 4 mile trip through mostly countryside and I was able to get that done. I did discover a notable lack of tie down points.
As per usual, I failed to get a “loaded” pic. But here’s one right after hauling my materials into the garage. Truck started easy and ran great.
