Glad to hear your charging system is working as intended. One of the reasons I like a volt meter over an ammeter is the scale is easier to identify small changes in performance because a 1 or 2 amp discharge on a 20+ amp scale is pretty small whereas 12 volts rather than 13 is pretty easy to see.
I never expected my question to result in such a diverse discussion but I guess it just goes to show how many people are paying attention on this forum.
