Should the ends line up at the cap/block joint line, or should the ends be offset say, 1/8 or so? Will it make any difference?
Also, a dab of gray or black (since that's what I have) RTV at the ends?
Didn't see any guidance on the Best Gasket website, so asking here at the center of the universe of Stovebolt Knowledge.
