IMHO you have a personal connection with this truck and you have been thinking of doing this for some time. I'd take a bottle of Jack Daniels or Case of Beer to close the deal along with your $1500. The parts are probably not as hard as you think to find. A finished 40 Chevy pickup is a very handsome truck.
