Depends on what part of the country your in.$2000.sounds like a pretty good deal to me if it is really solid.Not likely you are gonna stumble onto a soild truck for a few hundred dollars.Even these people who are not collectors realize they are very much in demand.If you like the truck and think its restorable or streetroddable go for it.Naturally start out with a lowball offer,ya just might get it a little cheaper.
