It really doesn't matter at this point, we are cleaning house. Unwrap, untie, untape the bundle and survey. Splay out each wire and discover it's to-from. Write it down. Make a drawing, whatever. When you find the headlight to dimmer wire, do the test and stop there. Report if terminal has power when knob pulled or not. Then STOP and wait for next step.
We are ONLY doing the headlight switch wiring/troubleshooting part for now. NOTHING ELSE.
