Tailgate installed tonight, latches ready to go in, radio delete plate installed, top cowl vent installed, sealed and adjusted. I had a lot of fun opening and closing it. It was satisfying to hear the click, click, click. Fully open, fully seated. Nice! I put very thin rubber along the back edge of the running board as a gasket to prevent squeaks. It looks really good and I suspect it will do a great job. I removed and reinstalled the heater vent ducts under the dash as I installed them backwards. I love all the pictures I took while disassembling! I also cleaned up the shop. That last one really was needed as I was running out of bench area because of so many little jobs on the
This is how she sits tonight. I've never had this much fun wrenching on any of my trucks before! My wife had to tell me to come in as I easily lose track of time.
Update on paint...just front fenders and hood to paint and this old girl is PAINTED!
