Maybe I'll consider touching it up here and there, maybe restore the interior but right now the truck is having way too much fun hauling stuff and doing errands. Haulin Bush

Actually, the wife knows how much I Like treating the truck like a truck but she's hoping I would at least give it a quick paint job to cover up all the scratches in the bed as well as the back side of the cab. Seee? with brush in place you can't see all them scratches.
Dennis, I don't remember where I got those lights, but I believe they came from someone here on the bolt maybe 10+ years ago. All I remember is that they are actually chevy or gmc back up lights but no idea off of what.

That will be more beneficial to the rig as compared to doing cosmetics.

I'm finally interested in getting started putting it back together. I've lost many years driving this truck. I should have never taken the cab off the frame...... I think yours looks great now!

I now finally have the time & am figuring out where to start again. My motivation now is a friend visiting from England next May. He wants to drive it. He just finished restoring a Lancia Fulvia into a rally car. My 52 MG TD has taken a fair amount of time getting the brakes sorted & new valve seat. At least the MG is a runner. | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,440 Extreme Gabster | Extreme Gabster Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,440 | No more comments about the Mustang, please. Let's stay on topic.

Sounds like you're having way too much fun,if you tear it apart you'll probably regret it. At least doing it that way you can still drive it.

Get an estimate on sanding the whole thing down, fixing any dents the old fashion way (not with bondo) and then painting it with a good 3 stage paint (don't forget to have them quote on the door jams too). Take the estimate home and act real excited when you show it to her. Guaranteed she’ll find a new love for the truck just the way it is………..
