Mine's not a truck but I'm third owner. It was sold in the spring of '38 at the new Chevy dealer in town, one of the first cars sold by the dealer. I have the original owners manual and User's Guide.

My 54 3104 built in Oakland... My Grandmother owned in the mid 50's until the mid 60's when she gave it to my father... We lived in the mountains so it was used as a wood truck and my father drove it to work at the local saw mill for several years... He owned it until four years when he gave it to me before he passed away...

I was able to find the original owner of my 37 with a reciept I found under the seat but dont know how many owners before my uncle got it,I did find out it was made at the Norwood Ohio plant but since the company that bought it new is no longer in buisness thats all I could figure out. I would like to know the dealer it was bought from it looks like it will be forever a mystery.

Don't have anything on the truck, but I do have a copy of the original owner's purchase check for one of my old tractors.
I also have the purchase order for my Dads's first tractor, which, unfortunately, I do NOT own.

I am the second owner on mine and it came with the original title, here in Utah you have to surrender it when you get a new one so I have made excellent color copies.

This forum is about our old trucks. Please don't post about your tractors or what you could buy if you had the money. Keep it about YOUR truck, please.

Thanks.

Met the daughter of the original buyer, met the salsman who sold the truck to him, missed out on the next person in the sequence but know the last two owners.
I know when and where it was made, when delivered and when sold.

I have the original title to a 1950 GMC that my father bought new from his brother who sold GMC at that time. The truck is partially dis assembled and in a storage trailer. The title is still legal because it was passed to me through my parents estate. If I were to sell it, the new owner would have to surrender the title to transfer it.

It once was a company truck. then an old lady owned for many years. and then it was bought two years ago by the previous owner, who put in a 1954 235. and then we got it. long list of owners huh?

The IRWIPI - Triple Dog Dare truck sat in a pasture in Texas for 27 years or so. When I dug out the stuff in the glovebox I found the original reciepts in dealership envelopes, protecto plate, owners manual and various other paperwork original to the truck. I bought the truck from the original owner's son.

My '49 3100 was sold new here in town. I knew the original owner who has since passed away. He purchased the truck for his appliance business. When he closed the appliance store in '53 he sold the truck to a local farmer who used it for odds and ends until 1975 when he gave it to his Grandson. I got it from the Grandson in 2006. When I got the truck my friend (Grandson) came to me and told me to come get the truck. He and his family were relocating to South Dakota and he said I had been bugging him for 30 years to buy the truck so I must have really wanted it. Its sitting in my shed. It still has its original paint other than the primer covering the lettering on the doors from the appliance store.

I found under the front seat of my 41 GMC one ton , a bill of sale from George Geis truck sales in Lincoln Nebraska to Kenneth Woodhams. It is dated 7-1-1966,
and sold for $206.00.The bill of sale is number 08355.I bought the truck from Model T Haven in Iola Kansas and had it shipped
to Florida. I sure wish I could search
out more Information.

I consider myself the original owner of my truck. I built it from at least four different 47-53 trucks and one 73 suburban. I did find an old insurance card in the cab.

My '58 Chevy 3200 was purchased new by a guy named Frank Kunzweiler who lived across the street from us when I was a kid. My father bought it from him in about 1965. I inherited it from my Dad when he passed in 1977. Sometime between 1958 and 1964 it powered a float in the Tournament of Roses parade. It has just over 100,000 miles and has never been altered.

I bought mine from the daughter in-law of the orginal purchaser, so I consider myself the second owner. I can't remember exactly, but I have paperwork from the dealer showing he took delivery in January of '57. The truck was made in Atlanta and was still in Georgia when I bought it. Block has a casting date for '56 and inside the hood in marker is "'57" as though they had to mark the hood for a '57 model.

I'd love to know the history of my truck. I bought 2 months ago from a fellow in Georgia, but it had a South Carolina plate. Last tag date was June 1983. Here in Ontario, you can get a history of a vehicle by paying a $20 fee. I wonder if such a service exists elsewhere?

My first truck a 55 1st series pickup, I bought from the original onwer, about two years ago. I have copies of his mortgage paper work and title. He offered me the original but he seemed so sad to see it go I told him to keep them. Truck was bought new in colorado then owner moved to new mexico. Not sure why he had decided to part with it, after all these years. Whole family was there to see it off and to question my intentions with the truck. Told them I would leave it as is and have. Its a neat feeling finding these old unmolested trucks.

My grandparents bought my truck from a dealer in OKC that is no longer in business for $2005. I have the original sales reciept, registration, owners manual, and the first tag issued from OK for it. 2 years ago I went down home and picked it up where it had been sitting in a barn for 23 years, and in 8 months managed to spend 8 grand for parts. It's headed to the paint shop in a few weeks, and I'll still have to spend a couple more grand to finish it. Did I say "finish"? They are never finished. I'll never part with it.

My 6400 Firetruck was sold to The Thalia Civic Club in November 1951 then it went from the factory in Baltimore as a cab & frame to Roanoke, Virginia to be modified into a firetruck. Oren Roanoke completed that effort in October 1952. The completed firetruck was delivered to Virginia Beach in time for the volunteer fire department dedication on 18 October 1952.
Later it was sold to Pantego, NC in 1970 and returned to Thalia in 2001. I obtained it from Thalia when the folks there didn't want to invest the time or funds to restore it. I've just about finished it and it remains on loan to Thalia as long as they have a volunteer fd or build a fire history museum.

I am the third owner. I have the originial sales info and the originial owners manual that came with the truck from the factory. I agree it will never be finished.

My '68 C-10 came from Clovis, NM to OKC in 1993. I'm the third owner, and there are a few receipts and such that the truck has that verifies when and where, but no original sales info or any of that. Nice, solid high desert truck!

I think I am the second owner of my 54 chevy 3100. The last tag on it is 1969, has been in the barn until two months ago. Decided it was time to fix it up. The block was cracked, has been completely overhauled. The body is now being restored with frame off. Had a lot of rust. To many things to list, to much money to worry about.

The truck I got has all the original paper work. In fact the owner was so through and did so much research as to what he wanted that he went to every truck dealer in the area and got the sales brochure, written quotes for what he wanted. He even figured out the theroretical speeds in each gear. When the grandson gave me the paperwork it had all of this. From Dodge, Chevy, International and Ford. He did the same thing with the camper. I have about a 6-10 inch thick file of all the info he collected. This guy was very through. He even kept a milage and fuel log for every mile he drove. It looks like this truck got between 10 and 11 MGP no matter where he went. A/C on or not.

my 49 3100. Purchased from original owner- sold it because he could no longer handle the non-power steering and non power brakes. (probably also because of lack of passenger side mirror. Original paint and bed wood, good running shape. Have original title, owners manual, and almost all of the service records from two dealerships for the past 60 years(guess what was CRAMMED into the glove box. The front grille was repainted in 1950 or 51. The seat recovered sometime back with almost original type cover.

The title was not embossed or anything so I made a color copy and turned the copy in to the state when I had it registered. It was bought in Alma ks. that dealer closed a few years later so the owner started using the Wamego dealership.(home of the Tinman)
Still had the original front tire as the spare(bf Goodrich Silvertown) The original jack and handle as well.

The owner bought it to be his farm truck. it is a heavy half ton. He used it on the farm for about a year. then he decided that it just was not strong enough to haul grain and handle the chores. So he built a garage next to the house, had the grill fixed(He had hit something the first of second month he owned it) then he used it for going to church and to town on Saturday. It had 56K original miles on it when I got it. the speedo needle has been gone for awhile but the odometer still works. There is a steel rod on the top of the seat back that he used to beat the neighbors dogs off with when he would get the mail( the mailboxes were close to each other) I left it right where he did.

He was really broken up when I loaded it on the trailer to take it home. I repainted the engine, and have cleaned up the engine compartment a little, but it is in very good shape. I take it by 1 a year so he can see that it is still running strong. Pics are linked below.

My Dad bought our '46 when he was 18, back in 1968 for $200. His ex-wife made him park it around 1976 when it left a huge oil streak on their new drive way. That was the last time it ran until almost a year ago when we had to replace the original 216 due to a cracked block. It now runs like a champ...when it actually runs.
