From Steve :
This is my 1960 Apache Shortbox. I found this old truck in a field near my home with another 100 or so old cars and trucks. I always loved the ugly hoods. I couldn’t let this one get away for $150, so I brought it home.
The gas in the tank still smells like it might run, but the clutch is out. The chassis and frame are in very good shape and I believe it was a utility company truck in a rural South Dakota small town.
It has some small amounts of rust, but its overall shape is pretty good. I then happened to come into a blasted and painted frame that was rebuilt for a 1960 SWB! That will save me a lot of time. It still has the original spare.
It might be a driver before you know it.
Thanks,
Steve VandenBerg
