Curious as to how much we are all paying to insure our old trucks. My latest premium was $621 for the year and it includes one million in liability, fire and theft and glass breakage. There is no collision insurance in that.

I've just got PLPD on mine (Personal Liability and Property Damage) and it runs a little over $500 a year.

But, then again, I don't drive it in the winter and I don't keep insurance on it from mid November to sometime in March or April.

I must have a heck of a bargin. Pay about $250 a year(6mos. layup, just fire and theft.) and I have $15,000 collision in the summer. It it titled as a Historical vehicle if that makes any different. Using auto owmers now but have heard that Haggertys is good on Rods and such.
might add that I am a senior but still rod it about 3,000 miles a year. ain't one of these old farts.

I pay a little under $400 per year for mine in Georgia. When I lived in Connecticut, I was paying about $1,200.00 with the same company and coverage.

I am paying much much less than that, but my truck is running a year of issue plate, and that cuts some costs in Michigan, in addition to the insurance.

You might want to check out Haggerty insurance, I think they are in Traverse City, Michigan. I have mine through them. No need for a claim so far, but I have heard a lot of good things about them before signing up.

You might want to check out State Farm....my full coverage, liability ,100/300, 50k property, 50 ded.comp and collision, and road service included, with limited mileage runs me $206.44 annually.

The truck is currently insured for $12,500. and if I want to increase that, I can have it appraised.

I might add that I have a multi-line discount as I have other vehicles and homeowners with the same company. The major insurance companies seem to have recognized that they were missing out on a bunch of mature drivers who were careful with their equipment.

Liability and towing, $210 for 6 mos.

Ive got hagerty through my allstate insurance for my 53. They cover the same as my regular trucks, at 100/300/100 full coverage. Its 95$ a year with the trucks value at 5000$. Of course your supposed to keep it in a locked garage and not drive it as a daily driver...

I have Haggerty on my 59 in NYS. $12,000 coverage on comp and collision, no deductible, 300k liability. $124 a year. Will add another 59 taht I am working on in a couple of years.

I have a "limited use" policy on three of my big trucks that costs me around $25/6 months each. I rarely put 500 miles on any of them per year so limited use works for me. My agent said as long as I don't drive them to work everyday, they would be considered limited use. My agents' pretty cool, he said there wouldn't be anyway to prove how much I drive them anyway, so go ahead and drive them as much as I want.

Haggerty, $99.00 per year for my 54 one ton. I guess it depends on the population of your area.

I should have added that my truck has a 350 chevy so it is considered a modified vehicle and more expensive.

Mine's $254 every 3 months, full coverage, agreed value on the '55. the policy covers both the '55 and the '85 Blazer beater. It's through Westfeild.
