I would try another HEI. Just this weekend I had one die, which had aftermarket components inside. I drove this truck, parked it with no signs of failure. Came out in the morning to drive it to work, no start. I put an all original HEI out of another engine I have and she fired right up and runs better now than it ever has. I always recommend using Delco ignition parts when fixing the HEI stuff.
