well darlin' you need to show us some pictures. when i was 5 yrs. old in about 1968 my dad aquired 49 3/4 ton flatbed. i have some early memories of my mother hauling me & my 2 little brothers around in that truck. ( she's only 5' 1" !) later on my granpa used this truck to move from central illinois down here to arkansas. the bed was an after market with steel sides & wooden stake sides you could put on top of that, a combination grain & stock bed. it was set up that way for the move & loaded all the way to the top. we followed it in our 67 dodge coronet station wagon. my dad says it was about 45-50 mph all the way. later on the truck had caburetor & other issues. grandpa wasn't a mechanic & it was literally put to pasture. that's when i started playing in it & developed my lifelong love affair with AD trucks.
