I think you're right about the displacement of the new 6.0 V8 in Ci, but it's coincidental - that engine is based on the latest generation of small blocks I believe (4.8, 5.3, 6.0). The big block is the 8.1, which I have dreams about.

When I first learned about the truck 366 I thought it was a smallblock, assuming that the cut-off for big/small block is somewhere around 400 cubic inches, but apparently there's no rhyme or reason to the big block/small block distinction (Ford's industrial truck big block was only a 330)
