howdy! the main problems with the 305 are the low nickle content of the block, (lousy casting), and the famous small block chevy soft camshaft. thousands of chevy cams had to be replaced.

they saved a few bucks, but it's hurt them in the long run!

bring yer 4 bolt 350 on! gotta 69 "z" 302 in the garage! well, for now anyway. maybe got it sold this week.
