It's all my wifes fault!!! We had just traded in a 1998 Suburban for a new 2000 Suburban. As we were driving off the dealer lot she vehemently stated that I was not going to trash out the back of the new one. So I started looking for an "old work truck" which turned out to be a 49 Suburban. I have slowly been rodding the burb as money and time allows. Hope to be on the road by spring. I'm pumped about now having a forum to discuss. Thanks guys.
