In 1999 I saw a General Motors concept calendar with a Chevy SSR Sport Truck. Before they approved that concept for production, I thought it would be great to build my own from a 1947-1954 Chevy P/U. I dragged my feet for about 18 months and by the time I found a good solid truck, General Motors anounced the production of the SSR Sport Truck for sale to the public. Not wanting to be a follower I decided to build a Chevy Suburban based on that Concept idea. I hope to have it completed in Spring 2005. I have since learned that General Motors has approved a Concept design based on the 1947-1954 Chevy Suburban. If anyone is interested I could find a way to post a picture of it.
