Glad you figured it out Nick and thanks for letting us know. A possible bent backing plate was going to be my next "perhaps" brain toot to try out, but you found it and got it resolved.

Yes to having to pull the axle to replace the backing plate. If it's not causing any issues with your driving/braking, then you should be fine until diving into the rear axle in the future. smile
