Gents, about 5 ago when I started working on our 1/2 Ton with 216 engine we had a leak at the front U-Joint. We disassembled that area and found that one bolt was about ¾ out and the inside of the bell housing was deeply scored. So we assumed that at some time someone had previously had disassembled for whatever reason and didn’t secure the U-Joint properly. We replaced the U-Joint, bolts and bolt keepers, cleaned up the bell housing and to this date it seeps at gland nut. We also had to repair the aft tranny Mount.
