What's the crankshaft rod journal size? The Nissan H beam connecting rods I'm using on my Frankenstein stovebolt stroker are a few thousandths under 6.5", but they've got a pretty small diameter bearing. They're rated for up to 1K horsepower, though, and they're not terribly expensive.
How about running a Chevy small block V8 4" diameter forged piston with a shorter compression height and the original connecting rods? Wrist pin sizes are easy to adapt with custom bushings in the connecting rods. There are lots of different wrist pin positions for 302, 327, and 350, all with a 4" bore and a .927" wrist pin. Jerry
