Another step closer to first drive. Got the spider gears in. It was easy once I figured out the secret. Took about 30 minutes playing with them when one feel into the gears and rotated right into place. You have to do both at the same time but once put in place they both rolled into place no problem.
WICruiser I have a four speed. Haven’t researched it yet. Pic two is the cover.
Of course I can’t find a gasket for the pumpkin cover. That and the filler hole nut came off in pieces. It had been put in place with some sort of rubber glue. But it worked I guess. So ordered a gasket and plug.
When I was a young guy working on cars we’d fill up the tranny and rear end until we could feel the oil on a finger stuck through the hole. The repair manual said fill transmission until it overflows out filler hole. Haven’t looked at rear end yet.
Oh. What is the stuff to mark the ring gear with to check and adjust the alignment called.
