| Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,742 | Thread a few bolts back into the ring gear and leave a 1/8 inch space instead of tightening them fully. Hammer on the bolt heads. When the ring gear starts to move, back the bolts out a few threads and hit them again. Once it separates from the carrier little it will get easier to move. Jerry
