I'll put up a close up showing a couple broken teeth on the ring gear... the pinion has rough spot on one tooth

that brings up what gear ratio to look for... hmm let me put it this way.. what ratios are available.. so far I've seen 3.55:1 and 3.90:1

assuming ring and pinion R&R is the next step to drain tranny and start taking the forward part of the torque tube off the transmission.. Its a 4 speed btw..

I'm feeling good just getting the sucker apart now it seems to get harder with the pinion removal..
