Wait a minute- - - -now that the axle shafts are out, the torque tube and center housing can be unbolted. The banjo housing, brakes, etc. can stay put! You'll be dealing with a torque tube 6 feet long that can't be separated from the center housing, but you won't need to fight with the whole banjo housing, brake backing plates, etc. A couple of sawhorses and some big C clamps to keep the torque tube steady at waist level will be all that's needed.
Be sure to support the truck at the frame rails, NOT the axle tubes, on jack stands before you start unbolting the front of the torque tube. The weight of the vehicle will cause the front end of the torque tube to slam down violently unless the rear end is hanging free of the weight of the vehicle before you unbolt the U joint.
