I too "lucked" into my 261. Before I owned one, I had never heard of it. Then when the person whom I bought it from told me about it, I took a chance.
I haven't looked back since.
I started my fresh 261 with dual carbs and exhaust. In the first year I swapped the carbs to Carter YF's. Most reason being the chronic leaking of the Rochesters.
The YF's were a DIRECT plug in for Rochesters. Driven them over 20,000 miles and have enjoyed each one...
