Good advice, Carl- - - -I do it the other way, glue the gasket to the head, and it forms a dam to reduce leakage while doing a running valve clearance check, etc. Either one works, just a matter of personal preference. Glue isn't a substitute for a good-fitting valve cover, though, so straighten it first!
