I would suggest removing the tube, weld up the hole in the valve cover, and run a bypass line around the back of the cylinder head to the plugged hole in the middle of the head on the passenger's side. A piece of 3/16" steel brake line makes a good bypass line, and provides just enough restriction to avoid over-oiling the rocker shaft. Some modification to the rocker shaft oil connector might be required, depending on how the oil reaches it now.
