| Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,751 | Compare the length of the pushrods on the rockers with the locknuts on top to the ones with the nuts on the bottom of the rockers. I've seen that done occasionally when a shorter than normal pushrod was used, to get a bit more travel on the adjusting screw. It could also mean you have some badly worn cam lobes, but there would probably be some very poor engine performance in that case. Jerry
