Update: The oil passage from the rear of the block to the middle under the cover on the passenger side was, in fact, clogged. I cleaned it and put an appropriate brass plug on the top hole. The cylinders got 10 ml of MMO this am and compression seems to be increasing because the engine was much harder to turn by hand. I'm going to top off the MMO tonight ans let it sit overnight and try to start it tomorrow evening.
