The problems we face today can not be addressed at the same level of intelligence we were at when we created them - Albert Einstein Or with the same level of $ - Me

There is a very similar Big Bolt for sale near my office that frankly? I haven't even stopped to ask the price because being in SoCal, the owner thinks its made of solid gold.
Just for the hell of it, I'm gonna stop on the way home today and take a lousy cell phone picture and ask the price. If I can get to it, I'll post it later. I'm guessing AT LEAST 10x what you paid - $3500 will be the asking price...or MORE! | | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 200 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 200 | | | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 4,961 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 4,961 | Dan, you will never know until you ask. Makes it worth the hassle of the little woman giving me crap for dragging another "pile" home.

With these big ones there is not much market for a whole one but the parts are good. This is my 13th AD, 8th this year. I have 5-6 more on the hook 300-700 range, I can't haul them home fast enough. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | Looks like we're gonna have to move to Utah. I have only found ONE this year. The lady will GIVE it to me but honest guys, I'm not into big trucks (yet) and there is not one, not one piece of metal on it that is even repairable. The tin worms have eaten it from the ground up. I saw only the tip of the fender and stopped to ask. Seems she has given it away two of three times but no one comes to get it. Its a 42-46 vintage 1 1/2 ton. The running gear is there and may be worth the tow bill if I had somewhere to put it to help out other bolters. Even the rims have rotted..... just my luck. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 | When I went to meet the owner to put down a deposit he gave me this info has anybody heard of this set-up? Is it worth hanging on to or using on my own truck? I have never heard of it so though maybe the experts here would know.
