Congrats on the new truck looks like plenty of work but hey that's where a lot of the fun is, good luck!

That looks like a really fun project. It looks to be in much better shape than the one I started with! The springs seem to be sitting pretty. Wouldn't it be amazing to hear it roar to life?

most likely better looking than miss texas 1948 is now and more useful.

Great find. And that Smash Hit bumper guard is a real find. I've never seen a logo plate like that one. I wonder what year they changed to the more common logo plate.

Thanks guys - It came straight out of a pasture.(but then again so do bull patties) It had sunk into the soil up to the drums. I noticed the crank pulley still has a place on it for crank starting. You can see through the oil on the dipstick, and it still reads full.(I doubt any was added in quite a while) I can't believe the 30++ year old tires are even holding air.

That's true that 3800's are kinda unique -- It's always fun to park my 3804 in a line of 3100's and 3600's -- it sits about 6 inches taller Oh and Android, I'd really hate to have to argue with you over who's cooler but I do know that owning a 3804 makes *me* ruggedly handsome, exceptionally witty and earnestly desired by beautiful women. I can only assume, dual rear wheels or not, that just having "3800" on your hood sides does the same for you.


Okay, tell ya what -- Get 5 3800 owners (have to have their truck in the Gallery to count ) to chime in here asking for a 3800 forum and we'll try in on the Grassy Knoll (like the Firetruck Forum and the daily drivers -- both of which may get archived soon ... If it catches on, we'll promote it to the Parking Lot. Deal?

Would that be for ALL 1-tonners, or just the AD trucks? I'm guessing that just AD trucks would be too restrictive.

I'm in! Let's bring in all of the 1 tons Art Deco, AD, Task Force,...we really do have uniques trucks and I think we can all use a spot to "park" our own. I'll volunteer to manage it if necessary.

I want to be cool too. Now I have to start looking for a 3800 AD.

I think we should include the 3/4 tons since a lot of parts and accessories are the same as the one ton's.

I actually found it one county over in Lee County, near Giddings.
I had no way of getting it home, so he delivered it for me.

That is a great truck. The smash hit guard is cool looking as well. That's a real farming truck, 9 foot bed, smash hit, two spares, and that thing on the running board I'm sure is to clean the mud and "apples" from yer boots before yuh git the interior all dirtified.

Another one, right here. Never felt I belonged with those big slugs.
