Looking at it it has minimal rust (there are pinholes in the fenders around the headlights and some small holes down near the rockers) and the body appears to be pretty straight. It has a 283 in it, not running, and I'm not sure what tranny it has, other than it's a manual. All the glass is good, the floors are good, dash is good, hood is excellent, bed is good.

Replacement fenders should be available & it certainly sounds like a good price. If it is in as good shape as it sounds , it would nice to restore-- it can certainly run with todays traffic with a 283 and an upgrade to dual MC would make the brakes safe--my vote-restore!

IMHO, I'd go the stock route. Don't chop it up. I think you would have a better end value if you kept it closer to stock. I wouldn't want to ruin a "50 year old classic truck". As I said...just my opinion.
