Check page two under Trucks then go down the page to Chevrolet Dealer and look at content.lib.utah.edu/cdm4/item_viewer.php?CISOROOT=/USHS_Shipler&CISOPTR=7621&CISOBOX=1&REC=14

Down load the last picture to my pictures and enlarge them.
They stay remarkably clear and you can identify a lot more vehicles in the back ground.
Couple COE's and some really cool cars on the street.

On that third picture, that looks like an extra long panel truck with the window in the side. Did they actually make a panel truck that long, or would that have been some custom job?

If you blow the picture up, you can see something on the front roof that may be a siren or a flashing light.

Is it a ambulance?

Wouldn't that be cool if you could find a place like that today with those vehicles?!!!!!!

Yes, that is an ambulance. There's a truck in that picture that looks like a 3/4 or 1 ton with single rears hooked up to a trailer. Would that be factory?

I agree that's a siren on the front. As I remember, most ambulances were converted/dual-purpose hearses (had a way to lay someone on a gurney and could go fast what with those big cadillac and pontiac engines - I was an EMT on ambulances in the early 70s) up until the late 60s/early 70s. My guess (and that's all it is) is that it's some sort of special purpose fire truck or a police vehicle; maybe a paddy wagon. Anyone?

I live in Salt Lake and remember the Streator Chevrolet dealership. It has been gone since the early 1980's and that area has now been redeveloped with a large hotel just to the north of it.

Hey Spanky, great find. Did you notice there's a Huckster in the truck equipment picture?

Hopefully there will be some links shown to a couple of Vintage Chevrolet Truck Show photos. I think they are from 1948 given the cabs and the photographers file index system. I can see nearly every model offered and dumps, grain, stake, wrecker, vans, etc. as well as upfittters Fruehauf and Truxmore in the photo. What can you guys see?

To display larger, on my screen, bottom right corner of the internet explorer window is a magnifying glass and 100%, click it, or the arrow beside it, and change to a larger percent.

Or near the top right, the "page" tab, under it click "zoom" pick the %.

Nice pictures!

When I was a kid, growing up on a dairy farm, we had a Chevy truck (probably a '56 or '57) with a portable feed grinder on it, that came to the farm and ground feed for the cows. It would be cool to see a picture of such a truck. So far, I have not had any luck in locating one.
Also, corn shellers mounted on trucks were quite common. There were several of those in our area.
