I was the most surprised to find out that I won best stock truck 60 - 69. There wasn't exactly a lot of competition from that field but I have a cool plaque to be proud of nonetheless There was some heavy competition in the T.F and A.D. trucks though. My truck wouldn't stand a chance against them. Number 022 is someone I often see and talk to at local cruises. He is the organizer of the 4th of July show here on Bainbridge.
The '56 Chevy car visible behind the truck belongs to a guy named Dale who used to work with my wife, and who is a regular at both the local cruises I frequent, the one on Bainbridge and the one out in Port Gamble.
Wish I could have been there, but had other obligations today.

My truck is not with that group but you can see it in the link at my signature line. I'll post a new pic w/ the plaque later today. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 843 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 843 | | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 7,440 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 7,440 | Yahoo!

Nice picture of my truck too (#28)!. First show, and I took the best stock for 50-59. Nice to keep the hardware in the stovebolt family. It was a great day with a lot of good conversation with old truck enthusiasts. | | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 920 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2004 Posts: 920 | Congrats back at you. Too bad we didn't run in to each other. Just over 400 cars there this year. Almost 700 last year. I guess a bunch of people didn't show in protest of the increased cost. Even though they reduced the cost in response to low registration, the damage had been done. Hopefully, they learned a lesson and will keep the entry fee reasonable. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 578 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 578 | Dang, I didn't go!!!
Can we all have a vote and make those old Power Wagons honorary Stovebolts?
Ya gotta love 'em.

You deserved it much more than I. But that doesn't mean I'm giving up my plaque! | | |
