It surprised me that it wasn't an exorbitant per tire charge.
How much do you guys pay to dispose of tires? Are they making enough on the steel to make it cheaper? 1948 3/4-Ton 5-Window Flatbed Chevrolet 34 Years. Its all the same to them. Obviously no liquids/solvents and stuff, only solid trash.

Actually dumping them means rolling them inside a trailer. If its more I think it was $2 per tire. The tire stations around here charge $2 per tire if they have to get rid of them. I usually just say toss them in the back. Then go to land fill. Long time ago we use to burn them in a 55 gal drum just outside the "barn" and warm out butts by it. | | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 1,907 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2001 Posts: 1,907 | I guess its a good idea to keep the cost reasonable or some folks would just toss them.

I think the 17" rims were a common option. The tire height of my 235/85R/16's is about the same. 1948 3/4-Ton 5-Window Flatbed Chevrolet 34 Years. They will not take rims,so the tires have to be loose. When I swapped over to 16" rims, I looked around to see what the 17's might bring if I wanted to sell them. Seems like it would be easy to get enough to cover the cost of shipping and have some pocket change left over.
I wouldn't recommend drugs, alcohol, and violence to anyone...but they've worked well for me.
