The weather service was way off on that one.

(wind chill about 8)...That Canadian air mass from the north is colliding with a line of thunder storms coming up from the south, right over us, producing thunder ice. We're suposed be waking up in the morning to snow and have between 6 & 12 inches by the time it's over tomorrow evening...on top of the ice. Not a big deal for you northern boys. But we usually deal with a lot of ice during the winter, not a whole lot of snow.

I don't mind it so much. What I hate worst about winter is the terminal dry skin I get. I go through gallons of lotion just to keep from scratching myself to death.

Highs of only 72....burrrrrr! Better check the antifreeze!!! | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 197 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 197 | Well, it was about 4 degrees when I left for work yesterday. This morning I put on a pair of flannel-lined Carhartt jeans to be better prepared. When I let the dog out I found out it was a relatively balmy 32. But the wind is howling today, unlike yesterday. Quite a difference in temp but because of the wind it feels about as cold as yesterday. Hopefully it will warm up enough today to melt away some of the packed snow and ice. Be careful today, everyone.
