We will be there and Leo has said, he would also be there.
Hope John and Peggy can make it along with some of the other ODSS clan.
Jerry (Hot Rod Lincoln) has also been addicted from last year.
The Alderson's want to host a BBQ Thursday evening and is a private show in itself, that is worth attending.
Need to start thinking about the DIY Clinics.
This is just a start to the planning and more will follow.

I think the camping area has expanded. Lots of people prefer to do that and stay on the grounds all night. They have folks "policing" so there's no worries about the vehicles that are parked there.
Stranger knows all the camping details since he and his boys have done it a few years now.

Just checked and Econo Lodge is $123.64 total for friday and saturday nights for Seniors/AARP.
Maybe we can get Mongo to check into it early.
Vicki and I prefer there, for the location.
It's just a place to bed down anyway.

John and Peggy will be close to that.
I don't remember how far it is for Leo.

Due to the severe case of "I hate being uncomfortable on road trips disorder" that I and Ms Kathy have, we would be hauling the '48 Burb. Are there provisions on the site for towing rigs to park away from the show area itself? What about in/out access for side trips in the Suburban? We have never brought a vehicle to a show this large before so just curious about the protocol. Do they charge for the tow rigs to enter the grounds?

It's not a guy thing, we don't just talk about trucks and cars.
My wife plans on this event every year and being a shy person, she has really made some good friends and has a great time.
And yes, there is parking on the grounds for trailers and tow rigs.
Funny: Just like the Homecoming, the Long Distance Team (LDT), are the first to plan on this trip.

Laid back, CD blasting, AC cooling, cruise control set, Powerstroke diesel purring. My buddy, Joker, was cruising right with me in his 1952 Chevy truck with the 235 purring, window down, straining to hear the CD over the highway noise, getting a trucker tan on one arm. And he had a bigger grin on his face than I did.

Glad you will try and make it and you will have a great time hanging with the group and the whole show.
We usually stay at the Econo lodge in north KC.
Last year it was already booked up two months in advance and did not have the after show get togethers like in the past. Hopefully Mongo will get something lined up soon for the LDT (long distance team)
As for Clyde, that is up to you. You will still be a big part of the activities weather you have an old truck or driving a Subaru.
Bring some pictures though.
