I am being given conflicting advice. A mechanic that I know says that it is totally unnecessary extra work to remove the cam. He says that I should tap the gear and us a puller to remove it.
It is tempting to attempt it.
How are these gears usually fed oil? If it's getting oil how do I remedy the problem?
