Those sealed hub/bearing units these newer trucks use are pretty expensive too.
I considered using one of those units to mount a modern rotor on an old axle and was surprised at nearly $300 a side from Rock Auto. I think I priced 1-ton four wheel drive units, but didn't make a note and don't recall with certainty.
My thought was to bolt on the hub using the same steering and backing plate bolt holes that would be used for the caliper bracket.
