Thanks for the offer but for right now I'm set.
I've got my 52 axle in the shop already and have one hub pulled off.
I'll measure and figure and search the auto parts and bearing catalogs and see what I come up with.

Best I can tell the early and late axles only differ in the spindle diameters (and corresponding bearings), looks like the hubs are the same from 47-54, part number 3683232.

So I'll keep the later model larger spindles in mind if it helps with finding new bearings.
