Gotta love this weather... Its kept me away from my projects, and changed my travel plans. I still hope to catch up with Andereggen but may run out of time.

Gregg I'm seriously looking at the IFS because it solves another problem. I need to do something to allow putting a transmission where the bellhousing crossmember sets. Once I cut that out I loose the structural function that it provides right where the rear of the front springs mount.

So either I need a way to mount my motor without cutting that crossmember out, or I need to make the IFS swap. Or find a third answer that keeps the crossmember and fits my motor/transmission combo in the truck.

I've looked at mounting the motor higher, which would require cutting into the firewall and floor. Cutting the floor would not be a big problem, but the tailshaft ends up real high too, and even with a 137 inch wheel base the long tailshaft Cadillac automatic the ujoint angles look too sharp for my comfort.

So maybe tomorrow it will be warm enough to play with my mockup and find a way to make it work.
