The reason I modified the lower A-arms was for wheel clearance due to the drop. The late model Jeep wheels I am using are a 2" positive offset (like a front wheel drive wheel). They are 17", which I thought should be plenty to clear the A-arms once lowered. But no, the hit as soon as you turned the wheel. So I modified them. That is the one ugly piece for the front suspension. I am considering tubular A-arms to replace the stock ones, but cannot find a set cheap and am not certain they will clear either.
