I've been reading up on IFS swaps that put a '63 to '87 pickup IFS under an AD pickup. This is an idea that is often talked about, and I know some here have done it.
What I'd like to find is someone who has done this swap and is driving the truck.
My 'review of the literature' so to speak has not turned up anyone who I can contact who has finished the project and put the truck in regular use. Maybe I'm missing someone obvious, and if so please point me to that person.
Over the last couple of days I've reread posts on this subject going back to 2004. I've read the various linked articles on how to do it. The common thread seems to be the trucks are not yet road worthy, or the owner has disappeared from the online communities I'm part of, or, even worse, one often quoted owner has given up and is going back stock.
I'd like to get some comments from people who have done this swap and are actually driving it.
