2 degree shims installed and pinion angle now reads -0.4 degrees. For the record, the leaf spring pin size on a 1950 3600 is 5/16”.

I got my new trans input shaft in the mail, but am still waiting on trans rebuild kit. Picking up rental tools today to R&R the tail shaft bushing and the crank pilot bushing.

I have decided to leave the rear leaf spring orientation where I had moved it to (I had reversed rear springs to move the axle rearward in the fender arch). I can always move the springs back to stock location later and have the driveshaft shortened to fit at that time. Right now, I’m chomping at the bit to get the truck finished and stop the money hemorrhage.

Trans gets rebuild, then she goes back in and we’ll see how everything is working.

Rear fenders are in epoxy right now, waiting on warmer weather to finish painting them. If all goes well. It’ll be driving within the next two weeks.
