LeeD You know when the Delco engineers woke-up to the fact that it's hard to run amps thru brushes that is when they turned the system around and ran the CONTROL system thru brushes. That is when the alternator was born ! I would listen to drdoug !! When a 6-volt truck comes to me (about 30 so far) my first move is go to alt and 12 volt.
